What’s Your Story Assembly

ASSEMBLY PROGRAM AUDIENCE –

100-500 People (flexible).

TARGET GROUP –

Early Childhood to Grade 3.

COST OF PROGRAM –

LENGTH OF PROGRAM –

1 Hour 15 Minutes.

SUBJECT MATTER –

The 6+1 Writing Traits.

FORMAT –

In a cyclical pattern, students experience storytelling, an interactive, author-led, student-participated exercise, trait identification, practice of identified trait, and further recommended titles to read for demonstrating the learned trait.  Bright visuals and a large variety of stories appeal to this younger group of readers and writers.

TITLES INCOPRORATED –

By Reji Laberje, Jake McNair titles, and Kids I Know stories.  Plus, classic and contemporary picture books by Dr. Seuss, Laura Numeroff, Eric Carle, Margaret Wise Brown, Shel Silverstein, Bernard Most, and more.

INCLUSIONS –

Host organizations of assemblies receive free books; prizes to students, free bookmarks to all attendees, teacher reading list recommendations and follow-up materials.
