FORMAT –
Students, through group and individual work, walk through a four-step process to move from a simple sentence made up of a noun/verb pair to a full scene written through the full-sensory approach. The simple step format will remove the overwhelming feeling from students often told that they “need more information” in homework and tests.
TITLES INCOPRORATED –
The focus in the workshops is on the writing application rather than the reading practice and recommendations. In the teaching of the steps, past student examples of writing are read aloud.
INCLUSIONS –
Students leave with step-by-step bookmark reminders of the six senses and four ‘s’es method. Teachers leave with workshop reminders and blank copies of the group work.
